What Is The Tattoo
Removal Treatment?

Tattoo removal is a non-invasive procedure to get rid of an undesired tattoo. It is used to remove permanent tattoos from any part of the body safely.

All the colours of the tattoo ink are removed in a pain-free and advanced tattoo removal procedure, Q-Switched by shattering pigment particles deep beneath the skin, allowing your immune system to scavenge and eliminate the pigment. Consequently, as the tattoo fades in layers, multiple sessions are required for optimum results.

For simple tattoo removal, 4-6 sessions are recommended. Q switched-Nd: YAG is the most frequently used laser for tattoo removal.

During the treatment, pulses of light from the laser are directed onto the tattoo, breaking up the tattoo pigment. Over the next several weeks, the body’s cells remove the tattoo’s ink from the skin. With the Q-switched Nd-YAG laser available, you can effectively treat dark tattoo inks, specifically black (which accounts for more than half of all tattoos), blue and green. Patients should expect to visit for several laser tattoo removal sessions to achieve desired results.

During your tattoo removal consultation, discuss your desired tattoo removal goals, any underlying medical conditions, drug allergies and treatments, current medications, vitamins, herbal supplements, alcohol, tobacco use, and previous surgeries. Photographs will be taken to record the tattoo removal progress, and your treating doctor will discuss the options and recommend a course of treatment for you. You will be adequately informed of the precautions and post instructions in detail, and still, if you have any queries, you can ask your treating doctor.
Topical Anaesthesia is applied. The Laser shots are then fired onto the area as per the colour of the pigment. The laser light targets the pigment in the ink that causes photo acoustic fragmentation of the ink particles. These particles are removed by phagocytes and drained out of the body via the lymphatic system. After the procedure, you may find some redness, swelling, and white fragments; we assure you that this is entirely normal and indicates the treatment has picked up the ink. The area then develops some scabbing and takes about a week to heal. Post-inflammatory cream is applied post-procedure.

Treatment FAQ’s

blank
Is Laser Tattoo Removal Safe?

Yes! During laser tattoo removal the laser operates in short, a fraction of a second burst, targeted only at your tattoo. It does not affect the surrounding skin.

Will Laser Tattoo Removal Scar Me?

No! Laser tattoo removal should not scar you. Instead of forcing ink out through the skin, it breaks it down so your immune system can attack and pull it out through your lymphatic system.

Will Laser Tattoo Removal Burns Me?

No! We use only the latest most advanced lasers that are much gentler and pass freely through the skin without burning. We do not use older type lasers that can burn skin.

How Many Sessions Are Required?

Several treatments may be needed before the tattoo fades enough to no longer be seen. The number of sessions is dependent on the tattoo complexity, ink type, colors used, tattoo depth, tattoo age, and skin color of the client. 6-15 laser tattoo removal sessions may be required before the tattoo fades entirely. Session times vary depending upon the size and complexity of the tattoo and patient sensitivity.

How Long Do I Have To Wait Between My Treatments?

You will have to wait for 3 to 5 weeks between your treatments. This time is important for the treated area to completely heal and remove ink particles.

Is Result Noticeable After Each Laser tattoo Removal Session?

Yes, you will notice lightning after each treatment. In some cases, you might also see an immediate darkening of the tattoo which begins to fade in 2 weeks post-session.

Can You Remove Multi-Coloured tattoo?

Most colors can be removed with laser tattoo removal. Black, dark blue, and red tattoos respond really well to laser removal. More difficult tattoo colors to remove are white, yellow, purple, and pink, but are easier to cover up. Green is probably the most difficult tattoo color to remove. Laser Treatments uses an advanced laser that is good for most colors giving you the best results possible.
